Immigrant DNA Test

- An immigrant DNA test in the U.S. is a genetic test often used in the immigration process to establish a biological relationship between a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident and a family member seeking immigration benefits, such as a parent, child, or sibling. This test is typically requested when documentation proving the claimed relationship is lacking or insufficient.

DNA samples are collected from both the petitioner (the U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident) and the beneficiary (the family member seeking immigration benefits), and their genetic profiles are compared.

The results of the test are submitted as evidence to support the immigration application or petition. Immigrant DNA tests must be conducted by laboratories accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and follow specific procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability.

An immigrant DNA collection must be completed in our office by one of our certified collection specialists. An appointment can be scheduled at your leisure. After hours collections are available for a small fee of $30.00.
